Sample evidence packet
This is the deliverable. A real packet is built only from the merchant's own exports; this demonstration uses a fictional course creator answering a fictional $297 "fraudulent" dispute, so you can see the exact structure, tone, and discipline before trusting us with a real case.
Every name, business, date, ID, email, IP address, and log entry below is fabricated. Do not submit this packet anywhere.
§0 — Cover & Deadline Block

| Amount disputed | SAMPLE — $297.00 USD |
| Reason category | Fraudulent (SAMPLE — Visa 10.4) |
| Phase | Formal dispute — full packet |
| Evidence due by | SAMPLE — 2026-10-27, 11:59 PM PT (authoritative, from the Stripe dispute record) |
| Days remaining at delivery | SAMPLE — 15 days (delivered 2026-10-12, the day it was prepared; dispute filed 2026-10-08) |
| Merchant action required | SAMPLE instructions (illustrative; your own packet's cover says which file goes in which Stripe field) — Manual (exports-only) path — nothing is submitted without your approval: review §§1–6, confirm the checklist in §6, then submit in Stripe Dashboard → Disputes → this dispute → "Submit evidence," uploading Exhibits A–E and pasting §1 into the response field, before 2026-10-27, 11:59 PM PT. Then complete §7 and return it to us. |
SAMPLE — The deadline above is the one that matters. If you don't respond by it, the dispute is automatically lost. When we have the case at least 4 days (96 hours) before due_by, our delivery target is at least 72 hours before it; inside 96 hours we decline rather than gamble with a deadline that loses the dispute automatically if it's missed. This packet was delivered on 2026-10-12, with 15 days to spare.
§1 — Narrative (submitted as the dispute response)
SAMPLE — The cardholder purchased the online course "Spreadsheet Systems for Bookkeepers" on 2026-09-14 for $297.00. The course was delivered immediately: an account was created for the cardholder's email at 10:32 AM PT on 2026-09-14, two minutes after purchase, and a welcome email with login credentials was delivered and opened the same day. Between 2026-09-14 and 2026-10-05 the account recorded 23 logins, completed 14 of 40 lessons, downloaded 6 course worksheets, and submitted 3 graded exercises. On 2026-09-29 the cardholder emailed support from the purchase email asking how to download the Module 5 worksheet pack, and support replied the same day. The product was purchased, delivered, and used over three weeks before this dispute was filed on 2026-10-08. — SAMPLE
147 words, 6 sentences. Every fact traces to an exhibit below — see the Evidence Index. No adjectives about the cardholder, no speculation about intent.

Exhibit C — Customer Communication (complete thread)
SAMPLE DATA — fabricated support thread. Provenance: SAMPLE — Help Scout thread #4812, complete export (2 messages, none omitted). Complete threads only — a cherry-picked thread is fabrication by omission.

"Hi — I'm in Module 5 and I can't find the worksheet pack you mention in the video. Where do I download it? Loving the course so far, the cleanup checklist alone saved me a ton of time with a client." — Jordan

Exhibit E — Product Description
SAMPLE DATA — fabricated product copy. Provenance: SAMPLE — merchant's checkout page as captured 2026-09-14 (purchase-period version).
Spreadsheet Systems for Bookkeepers — a 40-lesson online video course (approx. 9 hours) with downloadable worksheets and graded exercises, for practicing bookkeepers. Delivered instantly online: on purchase, an account is created and login credentials are emailed; students watch lessons and download materials from the course dashboard, with lifetime access. No physical product is shipped.
§4 — Category Rebuttal
No separate rebuttal field applies to the Fraudulent category. The §1 narrative carries the rebuttal. (Per template: if we cannot tell the story in §1 from sourced facts, the case is refused — it is never argued around.)
§5 — What Is NOT Included — and Why
| Field / item | Why it is omitted |
|---|---|
customer_signature | No signed contract exists for this purchase; a checkout checkbox is not a signature, and presenting it as one would misrepresent the record. |
| AVS / CVC results | Authorization metadata is not evidence the cardholder used the product. The usage record (Exhibit A) is the rebuttal. |
| Full access log (all 23 sessions, raw) | Excerpted per template rule: first, most recent, and highest-activity sessions, with totals stated. The full export is retained in the case file and available on request. |
| Speculation about who filed the dispute or why | Not a fact in the merchant's records. The packet states what was purchased, delivered, and used — nothing about the cardholder's motives. |
| Other purchases by this buyer | None exist in the merchant's records, and unrelated history is not evidence for this charge. |
§6 — Merchant Review Checklist
Before submitting, the merchant confirms each item. If anything is wrong, they do not submit — they tell us and we correct or withdraw the packet.
- The buyer name, email, amount ($297.00), and dates match your records.
- Exhibit A matches your LMS export (23 logins, 14 lessons, last use 2026-10-05).
- Exhibit C is the complete support thread — there are no other messages from this buyer we haven't seen, including any refund request.
- You know of nothing in your records that contradicts this packet (e.g., an outage, a promised refund, a second charge).
- Exhibits A–E open correctly and are legible in the form you will upload.
- You understand the deadline: submit before 2026-10-27, 11:59 PM PT. After submission, evidence generally cannot be amended.
§7 — Submission & Readback Block
The merchant completes this after submitting and returns it to us, so the filing is logged and the outcome tracked. SAMPLE — the upload rows follow this sample's exhibits; a real readback lists your own packet's files.
